MEETING OF THE SCIENTIFIC CLUB "COMPUTER GRAPHICS AND PHOTOGRAPHY" AT THE DEPARTMENT OF MULTIMEDIA DESIGN

On March 14 and April 15, 2024, meetings of the scientific club "Computer Graphics and Photography" were held at the Department of Multimedia Design. The topics discussed were “Comprehensive Analysis of Methods Used by Photo Designers in the Modern Photo Industry” and “Features of Developing Photographic Materials for Web Products”. Participants of the scientific club were students of the educational and professional programs "Multimedia Design" and "Design (by types)" at the bachelor's and master's levels. Among them were  Daryna Zahoruiko, Anna Chuzha, Anastasiia Kurhanska, Maxym Taran, Polina Kviatkovska,Yehor Kuterov, Hordiy Karpenko, Sofia Vasylychuk, Alina Lunko, Yana Yaroshchuk, Nikita Bakov, Yelizaveta Penkova and others.

The main direction of the scientific club is contemporary developments in multi-genre graphic and photo production, which can be considered design of graphic elements for various multimedia design products, as well as standalone design projects in the field of multimedia design. Anatoliy Shapoval, the head of the club and a professor at the Department of Multimedia Design, emphasized the peculiarities of the practical implementation of multimedia design projects during the meetings. Methodologies for creating imagery were discussed, along with familiarization with the specifics of working with the expressiveness of objects in photo design, the choice of textures influencing the creativity of artistic imagery in photography, and so forth. An integral component of the club's work is the direct participation of students in discussing the themes of meetings and presenting their reports, during which the club participants showcase the results of their research and practical projects.

The club meetings took place in a creative and friendly atmosphere, fostering fruitful exchanges of ideas and experiences among the participants. This environment greatly contributes to the further development of professional skills for students in multimedia design. The outcomes of the club's work can be applied for future participation in competitions, exhibitions, and conferences related to design.
