Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, even despite the crisis caused by the war, continues to develop the educational infrastructure.

On March 25, 2024, the official grand opening of the modern educational and scientific laboratory of sustainable development took place based on the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business of the Faculty of Management and Business Design.

Rector Ivan Gryshchenko gave the first words of congratulation, stressing that universities in today’s conditions exist to respond to important social challenges – and there is no more significant issue than educating a new generation capable of consciously and professionally building a sustainable, ecologically safe planet. Ivan Gryshchenko noted the importance of strengthening the educational and scientific base of the University, emphasized the contribution of the staff of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business to the strengthening of the educational infrastructure, wished the higher education seekers good luck in mastering new knowledge and competencies based on the new educational and scientific laboratory.

Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, noted that the creation of an advanced educational and scientific laboratory is an important stage in the development of the University and emphasized that this is the first laboratory at the Faculty of Management and Business Design, the purpose of which is to support the paradigm “Leadership of knowledge for reproduction of a better world”, which is the core mission of Kyiv National University of Technologies  and Design.

Oleksandra Olshanska, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Business Design, and Taliat Bielialov, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business, took a personal active part in the creation of the laboratory. “The main idea behind the creation of the laboratory is the integration of science and education in order to form an innovative ecosystem of sustainable development. The laboratory will become a connecting link between science and business, where the projects of integration of the Sustainable Development Goals are transformed into operating business models, a base where the scientific and creative atmosphere between students and the professional potential of teachers”, Taliat Bielialov noted in his speech, and familiarized those present with the work of students at the Department, presented the equipment of the laboratory and directions of its work.

Those present had the opportunity to participate in the discussion of the prospects for the development of the new laboratory, the possibility of combining it with the existing laboratories of other faculties of the University into a single cluster, with the aim of improving the quality of specialist training and conducting training sessions and master classes within the framework of the concept of Sustainable Development.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the management of the University, the stakeholders of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business, and all those involved in the opening of the educational and scientific laboratory of sustainable development. We are convinced that its technological capabilities and the scientific atmosphere of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business will inspire more than one student or scientist to great scientific achievements that will be useful not only for the University but also for our country.
