November 1, 2023 the opening of the personal art exhibition "Harvest" of Uliana Balan - artist, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine , researcher of modern fine art, senior lecturer of the department of digital art of the university, was held in the exhibition center of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design "Art Space" fields of painting, graphics and illustration.

The art exhibition "The Harvest" is an exciting creative project that presents a bright collection of 18 arts by a talented artist who demonstrates her skill in the graphic technique of scratching.

The artist's personal exhibition was opened by Ivan Hryshchenko, rector of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, doctor of economic sciences, professor, Honored Education Worker of Ukraine, academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology. Ivan Mykhailovych noted that this event is a continuation of the tradition of demonstrating the work of talented creators of modern Ukrainian culture - teachers of KNUTD, who train future artists of digital art and designers in Ukraine and abroad.

The rector emphasized that the students of our university have the opportunity not only to learn from their talented teachers, but also to see their creative work, mastery of performance, and the ability to master various visual techniques.

The opening was a real artistic celebration, during which the audience had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a journey to the world of fertile land and nature, which provides us with life.

The host of the event, Lyudmila Ardelyan, Honored Artist of Ukraine, famous Ukrainian actress of theater and cinema, assistant professor of the department of performing arts and culture of KNUTD, noted that the works presented at the exhibition tell the viewer about the annual miracle of fruit ripening, blossoming and variety of natural forms. The mystery of the little seed is a small but powerful symbol of miracle and hope for continued life. This small grain seems to have no significance, but after sifting into the soil, it begins its incredible path of growth and development. Like a seed, we humans can develop our potential. Even in difficult times when all seems lost, small steps can lead to big changes and growth.

Uliana Balan began the presentation of her works with words of congratulations and gratitude to Ivan Mykhailovych, as well as to numerous guests of the event. She spoke about the concept of the presented project, where the miracle of the harvest reminds us of the importance of faith in the future and reliance on nature, on life itself. Life is an incredible cycle, and the fruits of the new harvest are only one of its symbolic stages. This metaphor gives us faith and hope to continue life, even in the most difficult moments. She reminds that each of us has the potential for growth and creativity, and life always provides an opportunity to reveal your talent and make the world a better place.

On the occasion of the grand opening of the personal exhibition, the Chairman of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Honored Artist of Ukraine, Academician of the International Academy of Education and Science, Candidate of Art History, Associate Professor Kostyantyn Chernyavskyi congratulated Uliana Balan and emphasized the special significance of this event for the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design. He also noted that despite the long bloody war, artists, on their cultural and informational front, are fighting and helping the Armed Forces, preserving and multiplying the traditions of Ukrainian fine arts. The Chairman of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine emphasized that the artist's works are a real professional and interesting work in modern art.

Associate Professor of the Department of Digital Art, Candidate of Art History, artist, graphic designer Daria Chemberzhi congratulated Uliana Balan with warm and cordial words on the opening of her personal exhibition and wished the artist further creative and scientific achievements.

Antonina Dubrivna, head of the digital art department, candidate of art history, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, member of the Union of Designers of Ukraine, also joined the greetings on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition with sincere and good wishes. Antonina Petrivna emphasized the importance of such an event from the perspective of art education at the university.

The depth and emotional richness of the opening of Uliana Balan's personal art exhibition "Harvest" was added by the musical performance of the students of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture of the University, who honored the artist with unforgettable pop vocals and virtuoso saxophone playing.

The presented project expresses not only a worldview goal, but also serves to study the skill behind the works of art, where visitors can more deeply appreciate the talent and dedication of the artist who worked on the creation of paintings, feel the atmosphere of features of the outside world that permeate each painting.
