On October 18, 2023, the Department of Interior and Furniture Design held a meeting with the 4th-year students of the “Environmental Design” educational program regarding preparation for the execution and defense of the bachelor’s qualification work.
The head of the Department, Candidate of Art Studies, Danylo Kosenko, familiarized the students with the procedure for preparing and defending the bachelor`s qualification thesis, informed about the procedure for choosing and approving the topic of the thesis, and appointing a scientific supervisor.
In addition, the participants of the meeting discussed the role of pre-diploma practice in the process of preparing the qualification work. The supervisor of the pre-diploma practice Svitlana Ostapyk, assistant of the Department, familiarized the students with the practice program, its goals and objectives, the procedure for completing the practice, preparation and defense of the report. Danylo Kosenko especially emphasized the need to conscientiously work with literary and visual sources, refer only to authoritative sources of information and be critical of them, observe the principles of academic integrity in the case of using the results of other authors in the work.
The students received the provided information with interest, asked the teachers many questions in order to find out the specifics of the tasks of pre-diploma practice and qualification work and confidently undertake these tasks.
