News -THE XII STUDENT POSTER COMPETITION “SAVE ENERGY-2023” WAS HELD

On 26 October 2023, KNUTD hosted the XII Student Poster Contest “Save ENERGY-2023”, which is held annually as part of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Energy Efficient University”.

The purpose of the competition is to form environmental awareness and an active life and social position to the problems of society, which is achieved by combining training with exhibition and project activities. The competition featured design projects by students of the educational program “Graphic Design” of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education.

For many years, the project has been curated by Associate Professor of the Department of Graphic Design Oksana Maznichenko, the students' supervisor is Oleksandra Kolisnyk, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Graphic Design; the exhibition was co-organised by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Graphic Design Alla Osadcha.

The student posters were made in close cooperation with the teachers of the KNUTD Department of Graphic Design: Associate Professor Oksana Maznichenko, Professor Yevhen Hula, Associate Professor Leonid Bernat, Associate Professor Oleksandr Krotevych, and Senior Lecturer Alla Osadcha.

In a solemn atmosphere, all the winners of the Competition were awarded diplomas. On behalf of the rector of KNUTD, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor, Academician Ivan Gryshchenko, Vice-rector Volodymyr Bobrovnyk, Vice-rector Volodymyr Statsenko, Director of Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies Ihor Panasiuk presented diplomas to the winners of the Competition.

Student Yaroslava Kvashnina (gr. BDg 5-21) received the Grand Prix and a valuable prize for her posters "This harmful smell of progress", "More wind turbines – less air pollution", "How many more thermal power plants will there be" from Ihor Lepioshkin, project adviser of the German Society for International Cooperation GIZ.
