GUEST LECTURE BY A PRACTICAL PSYCHOLOGIST, ART THERAPIST FOR STUDENTS UNDER THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM "PSYCHOLOGY"

On October 11, 2023, Tetiana Paukova, art therapist, practical psychologist of the International Association DIAKONIEWERK and ASOCIATIA SUS INIMA, gave a guest lecture on "Psychological correction as a field of activity of a practical psychologist" for the students of Psychology of the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design.

Psychocorrection is one of the areas of practical psychology, the most important task of which is to help a person to self-actualize and self-realize their inner potential, achieve harmony in the inner world, improve subjective well-being and strengthen mental health.

During the lecture, Tetiana Anatoliivna told the students of the Psychology educational program about the types, tasks and principles of psychocorrectional work, indications for individual psychocorrection, methods of individual psychocorrectional influence, the main stages of individual psychological correction, peculiarities of group staffing, specifics of the group form of psychocorrection, and mechanisms of corrective influence.

The lecturer also drew the students' attention to the principles of psycho-correctional work, which focuses on a clinically healthy person having difficulties in everyday life, on the present and future of clients, on changing behavior and developing their personality.

Tetiana Anatoliivna emphasized that the spirit of high kindness, exactingness and responsibility of the psychologist and the client creates a special aura of the psychological correction process, emphasizing the unique emotional experience, the unique attitude of the psychologist to the client and the client to the psychologist.

The performance of psycho-correctional exercises at the meeting aroused great interest among the students of the Psychology program.

The lecture was followed by a discussion of the Psychology educational program by the working group (guarantor – Alla Kolodyazhna, PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor, member of the working group – Rimma Kyrychenko, PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor) with Tetiana Paukova, who was involved in its updating. The external stakeholder positively assessed the content of the educational program for the quality training of future specialists in psychology.
