PUBLIC LECTURE "LAYOUT IN CLOTHING DESIGN" WAS HELD

On October 19, 2023, in order to improve the quality of the educational process and strengthen the professional training of bachelor and master students of the educational programs "Fashion design", "Modeling, design and artistic decoration of light industry products", "Design and technology of garments", a public lecture by the guest lecturer Maryna Kisil, Candidate of Art History, was held on the topic “Layout in clothing design: peculiarities of experimentation with the shape of clothing”.

During the lecture, Maryna Kisil, a graduate of KNUTD, an expert in fashion design, a designer, whose number of contributors to the maryna_kisil_studio  Instagram account is more than 126,000 from different countries of the world, told the students about her path to professional development and the importance of the design process in the activities of a designer, fashion designer-constructor. The lecturer clearly demonstrated the methods of working with the material on a mannequin, explaining in detail all the nuances of shaping. As a result, several options for draping the bodice, sleeves and skirt were demonstrated.

The lecture was held within the framework of the courses "Shaping and mock-up of clothing", "Designing plastic form of clothing" with the aim of acquiring such professional competencies as the ability to apply special techniques and technologies of work in relevant materials in design and artistic activities, to carry out shaping, mock-up and modeling clothes.

The lecture took place in an atmosphere of active interaction and open communication between the lecturer and the audience. At the end of the lecture, the winners asked the lecturer questions, to which Marina Kisil provided comprehensive answers.
