Babyn Yar is a tragedy for all of humanity

As part of patriotic education, on October 12, students of the 1st, 2nd, and 4th years of studying of the Department of Tourism and Hotel-restaurant business Kyiv National university of technology and design visited the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar."

The format of the event turned out to be quite unusual and interesting. Initially, the students visited a multimedia documentary exhibition dedicated to the 82nd anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy – "Mirrors of Death." After that, the organizers, represented by Vitaliy Nakhmanovych, invited the youth to join the discussion. The main question was, "Why should we remember?" After engaging debates, the students, along with the distinguished cultural worker of Ukraine, Andriy Tkachuk, explored the famous locations of the reserve: the Mirror Field, the Crystalline Wall of Grief, the world's only monument to the Roma.

Extremely informative and impressive facts about the terrible tragedy, which is beyond human understanding, so impressed the students that tears came to their eyes... However, it is even more frightening that in the 21st century, Ukrainians are witnessing similar tortures in the occupied territories, organized by the russians.

The only thing we can do for those who are no longer with us is to exert maximum efforts to ensure that such a thing never happens again!
