Research Institute of Economics was established on October 14, 2011.

The main purpose of the Research Institute of Economics is an organization, coordination and conduction of research on economic development at the macro-, meso- and micro levels.

The Institute carries out its activities in the following fields:

• organization and coordination of research on economic development of the country, industries, regions, and enterprises;
• studying problems and finding sources of economic growth, ensuring long-term stability, economic consequences of technological advances, approaches to measure factors and results;
• conducting scientific research on the motivation management of higher education quality; formation of adaptive economic mechanisms for innovative university management in terms of creating global integration structures;
• establishment and development of innovative multi-level educational complex in terms of creating an open global educational space;
• involvement of talented young people, including undergraduates and postgraduates, in the research work;
• support of the participation in international programs and projects, including grants, on economic issues;
• support of the scientific collaboration with scientific and educational institutions in the organization and conduction of scientific activities (including conferences, “roundtables”, workshops, etc.) and research on the economic development of the country industries, regions, and enterprises;
• provide training (assistance in training) and professional development of scientific and teaching staff.

Among the research activities of the Institute, an important role is given to the research of educational environment in the context of adaptation of higher educational institutions of Ukraine to the market conditions, taking into account strategic objectives of socio-economic growth and development of an economic model for socially disadvantaged groups’ access to high-quality higher education, considering the experience of the world’s leading countries.
