II Interuniversity conference of international students “Dialogue of Cultures in the European Education Space” completed its work

On May 16, 2017 II Interuniversity conference of international students “Dialogue of Cultures in the European Education Space” was held at Kiev National University of Technologies and Design as a part of Europe Day and Ukrainian Science Day festivities.

The conference was held by Foreign Languages Department and Department of International Relations of KNUTD. This remarkable meeting was organized with support of Ukrainian State Center for International Education, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University (Vinnytsia), Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostohradskyi National University, Kryvyi Rih National University, State Agrarian and Engineering University in Podilia, Taurida National University named afeter V. I. Vernadsky, Carolina Lanckoronska Cultural and Educational Center (Poland), Public Organization "Georgian Diaspora", United Diaspora of Ukrainian Azerbaijanis (Azerbaijan), Ukrainian-Chinese Center of Сulture and Education (China), International Intellectual Corporation (I.I.C.) Limited (Georgia).

The conference began with a welcome speech by Pro-Rector for Research and Innovation, Prof., Dr. Viktor Kaplun, and followed by Shapovalova O.O., Direcor of Ukrainian State Center for International Education Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; Nuriiev E., Counselor of Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine; Prof.Dr. Koretskij M.H., Pro-Rector of Research and Education and International Affairs of Taurida National University named after V.I. Vernadsky; Tometska M.D., President of Carolina Lanckoronska Cultural and Educational Center; Kacharava I., Vice-President of Public Organization “Georgian Diaspora”; Vej Limin, Director of Ukrainian-Chinese Center of Сulture and Education, PhD; Hmyria S.G., the head of Department of International Events AUCC. They welcomed all participants and wished them effective work, expressing hope for participants to be able to contribute to the crucial component to the university’s efforts training students for an increasingly diverse world. Communicating well across cultures and competing globally determine success; develop cultural awareness, critical thinking skills, and communicative proficiency essential to navigate in a complex global environment.

Pro-Rector for Research and Education and International Affairs, Prof.Dr Vitaliy Chaban presented the information about the history and the present of KNUTD, its achievements and awards and showed the potential of scientific development, attractiveness and competitiveness of international cooperation and training foreign students.

The conference was attended by students and representatives of Kiev National University of Technologies and Design, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, National Aviation University, Kryvyi Rih National University, Taurida National University named after V.I. Vernadsky, Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostohradskyi National University, State Agrarian and Engineering University in Podilia, Education and Scientific Institute of Management and Psychology of University of Educational Management, M.Tugan-Baranovsky Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade, Kherson State Agricultural University, Donetsk National University (Vinnytsia).

Students from many countries such as the People's Republic of China, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Libya, Morocco took part in the conference. The reports arouse the interest and active discussion of the participants and guests.

In general, more than 120 representatives of the faculty, young scientists and students from KNUTD, co-sponsoring universities, different Ukrainian regions and partner firms presented their papers. The meeting was held in the form of discussions, debates and exchanging ideas. The conference organizers awarded the most active participants with honorary diplomas.

The gala concert concluded the conference.
